CNSW has received a number of Expressions of Interest to fill the remaining Directors positions on the CNSW Board. The Board is keen to select as soon as possible so it has been decided that the cut-off date for further Expressions of Interest will be 5:00pm on Friday 30th October.

Following registration of the new CNSW Constitution the 5 person Executive elected at the last AGM become First Directors. These First Directors will meet later this month to form a Board and make a number of formal appointments (Chair, Treasurer and Secretary). As the new Board is to comprise seven First Directors there are two vacancies which should be filled as soon as possible. Expressions of interest to be one of those Directors are invited from people affiliated to CNSW and the additional Directors will be chosen from those who have expressed interest. An information package that indicates what is required of a Director and what a Director is required to commit to plus an Expression of Interest form can be downloaded.

Croquet will be amongst 54 sports on offer at the Games in Adelaide but close of entries is only a week away on 11 September 2015. Enter via www.AustralianMastersGames.com. Competition Dates: Monday 5 - Friday 9 October 2015. Venue: Croquet SA, Hutt Road, Adelaide.

At the Special Council Meeting on Sat 29th August, the 32 delegates and proxy-delegates who attended voted unanimously in favour of the Motion to introduce a new, modern Constitution and suite of Policies. The chair also held 16 proxy votes in favour of the motion plus 2 proxy votes giving the chair discretion, so in total 50 votes were cast. This represents 72% of affiliated clubs which gives the change proper legitimacy. The paperwork and fee to have the new constitution registered were submitted to NSW Fair Trading early this week and we expect a response within 4-6 weeks. CNSW is proposing to replace the current constitution and by-laws with a new constitution and range of policies. The final drafts of the documents are available on the Governance Page and the motion to rescind the old constitution and adopt the new constitution will be put to a Special General Meeting on 29th August.

Affiliated clubs are required to nominate a CNSW Delegate, to represent them at CNSW meetings. The club details section of our online database now includes the name and email address of a club's Delegate, and club secretaries have been asked to enter these details for their club as a matter of some urgency, to ensure that delegates receive information in a timely manner.

The CNSW AC Selection Committee is now calling for Expressions of Interest from all Association players to register their interest in attending the 2015 AC Selectors 8 events. This year two eights are being selected with the first 8 to be held at Tempe with the winner having the final place in the Bronze Medal and the second 8 being held at Wagga Wagga. Both 8s are being conducted at the same time 29 - 30 August. Those players wishing to be considered for either or both events may register their interest or by phone 042 762 9953. Please ensure you state what event you are interested in, if only one, or both if you would like to be considered for both events. Expressions close Friday 3rd July.

Croquet returns to the Masters Games this year. It is being hosted by Croquet SA at their Headquarters at Hutt Street, Adelaide and CNSW would be delighted to see representation from NSW.
