CNSW Event Registration

All members can use this function to register to play in CNSW events.

In addition, this function can be used to list those who registered for recent past events.

Whenever an event registration is added, edited or removed, an advisory email is sent to the member involved, CC the Event Registrar, CNSW Tournaments and the CNSW Office.

A member selector is shown if the sign in username is an email address which is shared by more than one member, otherwise the signed in member name is shown.

An event selector is shown. For event registration, the selector includes all events with a future Draw date (or Start date if the Draw date has not been specified).

If an event has an entry limit and that limit has been reached, registration is waitlisted, and the Event Registrar, CNSW Tournaments or the CNSW Office can subsequently confirm the registration if space becomes available.

If the Show earlier events checkbox is selected, the selector includes all events with Start date since two years ago, and event registration is disabled.

When an event is selected its details are shown, followed by a list of those registered.

CNSW member administration

This task is for use by the CNSW Records Officer, to assign an ACA ID to each playing member, and to determine the affiliated club. Non-playing members are assigned an Affil of Y by the Edit club members task, and are ignored here.

When a club adds a new member, the ID and Affil fields of the new member are not assigned.

Periodically, the CNSW Records Officer uses the CNSW member administration page to:

  • Assign an ID to any member without one, from a batch of available IDs supplied by the ACA.

  • Assign or change Affil values, such that each member is affiliated via exactly one club. Note that this may be necessary both if a club adds or removes a member.

There are three possible Affil values:

  • Y - the member is affiliated via this club.
  • C - the member is affiliated via this club, but is a CNSW Life Member.
  • N - the member is not affiliated via this club (but instead via another club).

There are three alternative methods of inspecting and editing the ID and/or Affil of members, each displaying a table of members:

  • Press Member Search to perform an ad-hoc search for members. This may be used to inspect ID and/or Affil values, but should not normally be used to change them. A search with no surname restriction lists all members. The table heading is:

    Search result

  • Press Member ID to select members with no ID, so that these may be assigned. The table heading is:

    Members who have no ID

  • Press Member Affiliation to select members who are not affiliated via exactly one club, so that their Affil values can be changed to meet this requirement. (Note that this selection will also include any member who has the same ID as another member, which should be corrected.) The table heading is:

Members who are not affiliated via exactly one club
