Alison Sharpe visits Nowra
On the 16th and 17th of November, Alison Sharpe, well known to the croquet family for her status in the world, was hosted by Nowra for a country workshop. Over the two days Alison coached groups and individuals in the finer points of G.C. as well as joining members in social games of AC an GC. These social events gave her to chance to meet and many member as possible.
Those participants in the group and individual coaching were impressed with her friendliness and her knowledge which she imparted to improve their games.

Nowra Hosts Seniors Carnival Croquet Day
Friday the 21st February, 2020 saw 40 plus senior citizens attend our annual G.C. day for fun and friendship as well as morning tea. Under great weather club members mingled with the visitors ensuring they had a good time and also learnt some basic croquet skill. Some visitors were from a retirement home, where they play croquet on bowling greens and found our lawns a challenge, but more fun!!
Nowra conducted a strong advertising campaign through our secretary which we account for such a great attendance and also a number of application forms taken away to join our club
Our club thanks Shoalhaven City Council for the funding of the advertising and morning tea.
A very successful morning of entertaining our Senior Citizens.

"An Afternoon of Croquet" at Greenwell Point Bowling and Sports Club
20 to 22 people attended at various times during the day. The "lawns" were lightning fast and proved a great leveller between the "newbies" and the more experienced players who could not come to terms with the speed of the lawn.
A couple of people indicated that they may follow up with games at Nowra Croquet Club.
The day was intended not just as a "recruitment" drive for NCC but also as a community event for Greenwell Point.
The event was supported by the Greenwell Point Bowling Club with a sausage sizzle and participation recognition.
4 members of NCC attended. Glyn and Carol Williams (Organisers) and were ably supported by Bernie Klumper and Linda Paull. Many thanks to Bernie and Linda without whose help the day would not have been a success.
A number of participants have expressed interest in another, similar, event.
Thanks to NCC member Glyn Williams for this report and photos and a big thanks for his arranging of the day with the support from Greenwell Point Bowling Club

Nowra Hosts Biannual Combined Probus Social Visit
Again, Nowra had the pleasure of hosting the combined Probus Clubs bi annual visit. In all some 55 members from Nowra, Shoalhaven Mens, Jervis Bay and St. Georges Basin clubs attended with over 44 playing. Our members again helped the visitors in the basics of Golf Croquet, as well as joining in the fun of the day. Probus supplied the great lunch as aways which was enjoyed by the group. This activity always raises funds for the club from the visitors, and which is very appreciated.
This visit was also videoed for our club news channel on YouTube and can be found here.
